Their ego, they did conquer, as ecstasy they achieved! And awe-struck were they, by the vision of Divine Beauty! Their ‘self’ they did master, And the entire world, they did forsake: Enraptured by the Radiance Divine, Only union with the Divine, they did seek! They stray not, here and there, Nor do they, with curiosity, look here and there: But at the feet of Sages and Prophets, A sacrifice unto the Beloved, they become! They care not for life, But a sacrificial offering unto love they become: Humbly kissing the threshold, they mount the cross, And verily thus do they attain the Lord, says Nuri! ☼
