Why do you not come and sit in the shelter of the Lord’s mercy? Why do you not make your eyes moist, in longing for the Lord? But your eyes have not learnt to forego idle sleep! In the stranglehold of death is the entire world, But remember that false is this world, and false are its affairs! Rare is this human birth, so make your life’s journey worthwhile, And waste not your time in forgetfulness! Come, come unto the door of the saints, And anoint yourself with the dust of their lotus feet! The saints will seat you in their boat of grace, And seating you there, they will pour their glances of mercy on you!
