3rd Medical Camp, 30 July, 2005

Sadhu Vaswani Center, Colon & Panama, are organizing the 3rd Medical Camp in Cuipo (Costa Abajo). The Camp will be held on Saturday, 30th July, 2005. Some Volunteers will have to go one day earlier to organize everything.

Approx. 2500 adults and children will be attended by Doctors, Dentists, Opthalmologists, Optometrists, and other specialists, and will be given all kinds of medical attention, and Vaccination etc. Approximately 150 Doctors, nurses and assitants of Laboratory and Pharmacy will be volunteering.

The villagers will get the following attention:

  • General Medicine
  • Odontology
  • Pediatrics
  • Gynaecology
  • Opthalmology
  • Veterinary
  • Blood Pressure measurements
  • Height and Weight measurements
  • Vaccination (Humans and Animals)
  • Nutritive Evaluation
  • Pharmacy
  • Laboratory (blood sugar etc)
  • Health Education
  • Control of insects, fumigation
  • Social Workers
  • Environmental Cleaning
  • Pap Test
  • Quality of Water Tests

    • There are many villages around Quipo, all of which will be benefited by the Camp. The people will come by bus, boat, on horseback or on foot. They are among the poorest communities of Panama. All the people who attend the camp will also be provided with hot lunch.

    Along with medical attention, we will also be donating bags of dry provisions to all those who attend the camp, along with other household articles, school items, old clothing, shoes etc. All kinds of donations are welcome. All those who would like to donate any old toys, clothes or household items please contact any committee member to start collecting the same.

    We will also need a lot of volunteers. All those who would like to volunteer in any way are welcome to attend.
